We delight in the beauty of the butterfly, but rarely admit the changes it has gone through to achieve that beauty.
Myranda leads the media relations efforts at Porch Light and brings a vast knowledge of the inner workings of a newsroom and how to successfully pitch her clients to the media from her more than a decade of experience in TV news. She graduated from Indiana University with a degree in Journalism and spent 13 years at WXIN-TV (Indy’s Fox affiliate) where she managed the day-to-day editorial operations in the newsroom. She also managed special projects by planning the station’s coverage for big events like Super Bowl XLVI, the Indianapolis 500 and elections.
Since co-founding Porch Light PR in 2013, Myranda has worked on a number of PR campaigns for both nonprofit and private sector clients, including the White River Vision Plan, Count Me INdy, and Joella’s Hot Chicken as it has grown to become the largest hot chicken brand in the U.S.
Outside of work you can catch Myranda and her husband watching their three kids play soccer, baseball, basketball or football on the north side of Indy.
